Full description
This was formerly a tobacco farm; the garden has cherry and persimmon trees, and with storage buildings and fields, it's a place to enjoy hobbies / I inherited my family home last year (2025). Currently I live about an hour away, so it is vacant. It was a two-family tobacco farming property with drying equipment and storage buildings. I visit three times a week to organize, dispose of items, and clean. / The house consists of an old building and a new structure built together. An extension was built in 1995. The extension alone is suitable for living. The old building has foundation rot due to moisture, with tatami and wood removed to create a dirt-floor state; however, someone skilled in DIY could replace the flooring and make the old building usable too. Multiple vehicles can be parked here, so it could serve as a guesthouse or old-house café. There are no neighbors next door, and it is at the end of the municipal road, so there is almost no traffic in front of the house; occasionally a vehicle mistakenly comes and turns around. / A river flows in front of the house. Even if it floods, being on high ground means no flood risk. When it previously overflowed and the national highway across the river was inundated, local residents came here to evacuate, that's how safe this location is. There is a cherry tree on the slope at the house entrance, so you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring. There is also a persimmon tree, so you can eat persimmons in autumn. There is about 80 tsubo (264 sqm) of farmland next to the house, so you can grow vegetables. With plenty of space, you can plant various things. An outdoor water spigot is right there, so watering is no problem. / The area is experiencing depopulation and there is no nearby supermarket, but you can reach the city supermarket by car in about 10 minutes. Medical care is well-equipped with a prefectural hospital. River shrimp can be caught in the river in front of the house. It is less than 5 minutes by car to the sea, and it is a famous spot for catching large squid. The even more famous squid fishing spot of Tsuki Town is about 10 minutes by car. The tourist spot Kashiwajima is about 15 minutes away. / The building built 30 years ago requires no repairs and can be moved into immediately; with storage and fields, it is an environment to enjoy hobbies. The old building requires renovation or demolition. You are welcome to view it, and price negotiation is possible. If you have requests such as disposing of items or making repairs, I can help within my capability.

Where a detail is not shown, the source listing did not state it. We leave it out rather than guess.
Area and hazard data
A pre-1981 build predates Japan's current earthquake code, which can matter for insurance and renovation. We flag the era from the year built where we have it.
