A charming traditional house with black-plastered walls and a loft-style second floor (tsushi-2kai). The spacious entrance features a latticed ceiling befitting a formal residence. The main house comprises four rooms in田の字 (Tanoji) layout plus a separate room and kitchen-dining area. The annex has water facilities, two tatami rooms, and a 12-mat Western-style room. The four Tanoji rooms open into a 24-mat great room when all sliding doors are removed, a remnant of hosting life-cycle ceremonies here. The alcove (ranma) decorations are striking. Wide engawa (veranda) ideal for sunbathing. The kitchen-dining area is spacious, with a fold-down ladder providing attic access. A 6-mat room off the entrance hall feels even larger due to storage niches. A connecting corridor links the main house and annex, allowing seamless passage without going outdoors, very convenient. The rear features a covered outdoor space (concrete base, corrugated-metal roof) suitable for drying laundry or light DIY work. The annex contains two 6-mat tatami rooms and a 12-mat Western room that was originally an office, featuring partly dirt-floor (doma) sections. Water/plumbing systems appear ready for use.
