Located along a prefectural road, a distinctive house with a triangular roof sits beyond impressive stone retaining walls. The approach up the slope is challenging. Midway up the slope is a detached cottage, a steel two-story building formerly used as a residence, but damaged by groundwater flooding (床上浸水) making it uninhabitable. This building would require substantial maintenance to use as a residence, but the seller basically hopes to transfer it in its current condition. Further up the slope are a materials storage area and the main house. There are so many materials like timber remaining that one could almost build a small shed from them. The main house entrance faces south, around the corner from the front. It features a rare gable-entrance (妻入り) design unusual in Soni, with the gable wall facing the entrance, and the generous eaves of the first-floor roof create an old-farmhouse atmosphere on the veranda. Beyond the stone walls you can also view the Soni Plateau. The layout is 4DK with a characteristically spacious entrance hall, and the second floor is entirely a loft/attic room. The interior features abundant thick timber in traditional Japanese-style construction, with a particularly impressive entrance structure. After construction, it was used almost exclusively as a vacation home, so the tatami remains in beautiful condition. It is an all-electric home with an IH kitchen that has been scarcely used, so it is like new. The toilet, washroom, and bath are all in clean condition. The second floor is an attic/loft space. You can see the pillars supporting the triangular roof. Many materials remain in the attic as well. The building also has woodland and agricultural fields behind it, and the seller hopes for a buyer who will purchase these as well.
