About this home
Former café on the National Route in Minami-Ise's south ward, built 1983, wood-frame with a storey of living space above.
The counter and tables stayed when it closed in 2023; parking lot included, septic system.
Draft summary from the listing, not yet reviewed by a founder.
From the listing
Nice location in the Nanshima area; former cafe. Could be converted into a multi-purpose facility. A national-highway-side cafe beloved by locals for 40 years closed in 2023. Located in the center of Nanshima area of Minamiise Town, close to town hall; until April 2023, the 1st floor was a restaurant and 2nd floor residential space, carefully maintained by local owner couple. Seeking someone to take over the property. Located on national highway with parking! Recently used, so many parts can be used as-is, a selling point! The Showa-era atmosphere shop interior includes table and chair sets left behind (they were cute!).

Area and hazard data
5 checks clear, 1 to know about. Each check is against a government map for this exact point. Where a map is missing or we can't use it, we say so; that never means there's no risk.
- Earthquake code Checked, clear
- Built after the 1981 earthquake code
- Strong-earthquake chance Warning
- About 30% chance of a strong quake (shindo 6-lower or above) in 30 years, high for Japan, where most places sit between 3% and 26%
- Landslide risk Checked, clear
- Checked: no designated landslide zone at this location. Zone edges are approximate, and this is not a legal property disclosure document.
- Flood risk Checked, clear
- Checked: outside a mapped flood area. The maps cover designated rivers only, so this is not a promise of no flooding.
- Tsunami risk Checked, clear
- Checked: no designated tsunami inundation zone at this location
- Liquefaction Checked, clear
- Low liquefaction susceptibility for the ground here
