Full description
The pursuit of beauty exists regardless of era. Recently, even men visit aesthetic clinics and wear makeup. While there are differing opinions, it has become an important element in cultivating the fashionable sense of self-affirmation. The pinnacle of such beauty was unearthed in summer of Heisei 4 (1992). Of the four dogū (clay figurines) designated as National Treasures across Japan, one called the 'Jomon Venus' was discovered at the Nishinomae site in Funagata Town, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a representative excellent example demonstrating the culmination of Jomon-era dogū sculpture and is considered to have extremely high academic value. This residence is located near where this treasure was unearthed. It is in the homeland of a goddess from approximately 4,500 years ago. The property is 200m in straight-line distance from the Oguni River, famous for sweetfish (ayu). Town offices, convenience stores, and restaurants are all within 1km. The middle school is within walking distance of a few minutes. Climbing a slight incline from the main road, you encounter this charming small residence. Due to its location on sloped terrain, there is a space with shutters installed at the foundation level along the road. Behind the house is a field that neighbors have been using to grow vegetables. The house is unusually small for the Mogami region and is an affordable property. Funagata Town is actively engaged in housing policy. There are subsidies for young people relocating, and recently the town has even publicly operated dormitories for the newly established Tohoku Agricultural and Forestry Professional University in neighboring Shinjo City, supporting the region through community-wide efforts. Many events are held utilizing the riverbed area. Furthermore, the Wakayu Onsen (hot spring), just minutes away by car, is extremely popular as a day-use hot spring facility. There is also a prefectural golf course. In this land where a refined spiritual culture has been woven for over 4,500 years, try living here. Eating sweetfish, soaking in hot springs, and spending peaceful days, you might just acquire the beauty of a goddess. Of course, this is purely the author's personal image and does not guarantee beauty.
