From the listing
This is Magata district in Funagata Town, adjacent to Magata district in Okuwa Village. Located where the Mogami River flows majestically below the property. / Built in 1969 with minor renovations since. The number of rooms is moderate. There is a small shed in front of the house, making for a convenient lifestyle. / What truly sets this home apart is the expansive land and the diverse edible plants cultivated there. The strong point is the large attached garden. To describe it: three persimmon trees, a chestnut tree, a pear tree, fatsia shoots, akebia fruit, bracken, Japanese pepper mint, and even a weeping cherry tree. Let us imagine a rural life with garden harvests. / In spring after snowmelt, when the weeping cherry becomes a leaf cherry, bracken shoots up from the dry grass. After soaking overnight to remove the astringency, make bracken salad to pour over rice. Satisfied, you glance up at the clear May sky and there, the fatsia buds smile at you. With intense, natural richness and flavor. You want to eat them piping hot as tempura. In early summer, the bracken still appears. In the intense heat of high summer, cold noodles sound appealing. Oh, there's Japanese pepper mint! Generous toppings of it in cold broth nourish you. By late summer, watching the akebia fruit bulge becomes a joy. In autumn, enjoy both the opened fruit inside and the skin stuffed with miso. That faint bitterness becomes addictive. And with autumn's full harvest, enjoy persimmons, chestnuts, and pears. Gazing at the full moon while feeling grateful in the evening. / This is a home where the homeowner's character can be felt.
