Full description

Stream-sink area has a board floor with an irori (hearth) / In the Nakaniwa settlement of Hoshio District in the western part of the village. The building is a two-story old farmhouse, and the interior was previously renovated. Just inside the entrance, on the cedar-board floor, a small irori has been cut, with accumulated ash neatly arranged. The previous resident's belongings and household items have been completely cleared out, so it's a farmhouse ready for immediate habitation once furnishings are moved in. Cleaning is necessary though... / Built-in cupboards and altar in the living room next to the entrance / Besides the board floor in front of the kitchen, there are three Japanese-style rooms and a back storage room. It has a compact layout. The original built-in cupboards and kitchen cabinets remain, with a retro aesthetic throughout. With rental preference, the owner does have some conditions, but if met, it would be a very comfortable and quiet settlement. There is an add-on toilet (pit-type) and bathing area, plus a well-lit wooden terrace for good sunlight exposure. / Remarks: Mobile signal strength has been confirmed for au, docomo, and SoftBank networks, but is somewhat weak... / Conditions: Pet cohabitation not allowed for rental, Single-person occupancy not allowed for rental / Condition: Cleaning necessary but immediate occupancy possible

A pre-1981 build predates Japan's current earthquake code, which can matter for insurance and renovation. We flag the era from the year built where we have it.

Municipal conditions and restrictions

Some towns attach conditions to an empty-home purchase, for example a residency requirement or farmland-law (nochi-ho) approval, which is a local sign-off needed before farmland can change hands or use. These come from the source listing.

  • No pet cohabitation for rental
  • No single-person occupancy for rental

Always confirm the current conditions with the town before you commit.
