They relocated the structure and built it here. I remember the neighborhood gathering together to raise the main house. The roof-raising ceremony, the celebration meal, everyone celebrating together. The house carries history carved not just for the owners but for the entire neighborhood. After the couple passed away, the manager's mother, who lived nearby and had long been acquainted with them, would occasionally come to air out the house. When we visited, the air was crisp and clear, and the well-maintained house seemed to continue breathing, which was reassuring.
