The four Tanoji rooms open into a 24-mat great room when all sliding doors are removed, a remnant of hosting life-cycle ceremonies here. The alcove (ranma) decorations are striking. Wide engawa (veranda) ideal for sunbathing. The kitchen-dining area is spacious, with a fold-down ladder providing attic access.
