Full description

Located 100 meters off National Route 369 heading toward Soni Village Office from the Uda City direction; a highly convenient location with the nearest bus stop just a 2-minute walk away. South-facing with sunlight streaming in; the field in front of the house is terraced paddy, offering an open landscape view. The right half of the building was originally used as a barn and has been renovated to connect with the main residence on the left, with its own entrance as well. Entering through the left entrance and proceeding through the earth-floored genkan, there is a kitchen, an okudo (traditional hearth), and a miso room. The miso room is cool and humid, with an atmosphere suggesting koji mold has taken root. The wooden floor in front of the kitchen shows surface peeling and requires repair. To the right of the genkan is a four-mat tatami room; to the left is one Western-style room. From the tatami room, stepping out to the veranda, on the left side is a small bath. The kerosene boiler still works without problems, but the tiles have cracks and chips requiring repair. The veranda floor has areas requiring renovation. The toilet is a simple flush type with both Western and Japanese styles, and is clean and usable. At the far end of the veranda are four rooms converted from the former barn space. They have many windows with plenty of light streaming in, creating pleasant rooms. Thick pillars are used and appear sturdy. However, the floor has sections that have settled, requiring renovation. On the 2nd floor are two rooms. There is a tiered shelf with nice character. The entrance from the right side is also a small earth-floored genkan, beside which is a toilet accessible with shoes on, convenient for agricultural work. The homeowner owns a field to the right of this building; if you're interested in home vegetable gardening, part of the field can be rented by negotiation. If you're the type who wants to "grow the vegetables you eat yourself!", this could be perfect for you. Currently, the right-side building is not yet registered. Once a purchaser is decided, registration will be completed. The night-soil septic tank is installed away from the building, with piping buried under rural roads.
